Vicky Tsalamata was born in Athens, Greece. Professor of Printmaking, Head of the 2nd Printmaking Studio, and Head of the Printmaking Department at the Athens School of Fine Arts. From 1999-2015, under her teaching methodology the 2nd Printmaking Studio had improved in an up to date advanced research printmaking Studio.
Her international artistic practice consists of expanded print, international exhibitions, collaborative art projects as well as educational-collaborative work with postgraduate students, followed by curated educational exhibitions.
She has presented an important number of 35 solo exhibitions, numerous, by honorary invitation, in Museums, Municipalities, Universities, and Institutions, in Greece and abroad.
Her work has been the recipient of major international awards and distinctions including 15 international distinctions, and is part of important Collections.
